Natural stones have been used by humans since the beginning of civilization. Stone has always been in life until humanity has existed, and it has preserved its existence from hunter-gatherer societies to space age. Today the largest surviving structures are made of stone. Located in the alpine zone where the world's richest natural stone formations, Turkey has a very diverse and large amounts of marble reserves. These important reserves are spread over a wide region throughout Anatolia and Thrace. Afyon, Bilecik, Balikesir, Denizli, Mugla, Amasya, Elazig and Diyarbakir are the provinces where reserves are concentrated. There are more than 500 quarries, over 900 factories and 5000 workshops in the sector. natural stone and marble production in Turkey showed a large increase in recent years. But nowadays, the production of marble in parallel with the increasing construction and the increase in the marble facilities based on this, brings with it many negative consequences. Marble and Stone Quarry are found to effect from the negative of view on the environmental part such as plant cover, air, underground water etc. Stones are extracted to different purpose and to be used variable industry on the Quarry. Functions of operation are included marble production and stripping on marble quarry. At end of these operations is taken from some pile of hill and deep of holes on the place of topographic structure.  With long-term photographic project that is still ongoing developments related to the marble in Turkey, I continue to receive follow recorded in each area.
